Important information
about
Email Fraud and Identity Theft

At Security Bank, we value
our customer relationships and we are committed to ensuring
your privacy. As a customer, you
can help us protect your personal information by practicing
good security habits, educating yourself about identity theft,
and reporting any suspicious contacts.
Identity Theft is one
of the fastest growing crimes in the nation. A new form
of Internet and Email Fraud is a practice
known as “phishing” or “spoofing”. Victims
of this fraud can suffer financial losses and have their personal
financial information used fraudulently.
You may have received
one of these fraudulent “spoofing” or “phishing” emails
that may appear to be from a bank, including the bank’s
logo and design. The fraudulent email tries to get you to
supply personal information (such as your account number,
social security
number or password). The message may request that you send
such information back via email or connect to a website link,
which will then try to get you to enter your personal information.
Don’t do it.
If you receive an email that you suspect is fraudulent, please forward it to customerservice@securitybank.net or call 478-722-6118.
Security Bank understands your privacy
is important and we will never ask you to provide confidential
information over
the telephone, via postal mail or in email.
